bit of help please. my mate has just got some astra gsi calipers and discs for his corsa sport and they dont fit straight on does he need the mounting off the gsi?

they should fit straight on if they are the 256x24mm ATE calipers

they should fit on exactly the same as the old corsa ones. how do they not fit?

no he means ATE. they are the type of calipers used by calibra 16v, astra GTE 16v, astra GSi and Cav GSi

the corsa mounting won't fit with the astra gsi caliper

have i got the right ones think they're 1996 astra gsi ones? got them brand new from vauxhall. do i need the mounting from the gsi please

Not sure if 96 GSi had the same brakes as the earlier more powerful GSis?

yes cause wasnt the gsi facelifted in 1996

Somewhere around that time. I know it got an engine with less power but not sure if they downgraded the brakes too

there not the right ones...

you need calipers off a astra gte/gsi up to 1993 or before...

If i go back to vauxhall and get some calipers for an astra gte, do i need the mounting plate 2?

vauxhaul? are you crazy! go down to the scrapyard and find a donner car...

if you get them from a pre1993 astra gte they will fit straight on and be no more than 20-40 quid...

Ive no idea why they havent fitted, either he's only got half a caliper or is thick. Brakes right up until the mk3 Astra ended will fit fine.
