seen a pic this morning with the rocker cover of a 1.6 sport sprayed,
now im wanting to do this also but have a few questions
1) do u need to smooth it down before spraying?
2) will it need laquring before i spray the colour on
3) heat resitant paint - can you choose colours or is it just basic flat colours?
4) can everything above be bought from halfrauds?
thanks

1) sand it down smooth then spray plastic primer on it
2) laquer is after paint but depends on what paint ur using
3) loads of heat resistant paint colours
4) yes

1) just key it up with wet n dry, then plastic primer
2)Laquer goes on after the paint, makes it shiny
3)You dont need any fancy paint, normal stuff will do. I have done my XE rocker cover with holts car paint and its fine
4)Probably

I have had mine done since june.

The bodyshop just sprayed it the same colour as the car, dont think they used heat resistance paint. But it hasnt change colour or anything.
