im gettin me boot smoothed and so will need to reposition my number plate. Is it true that you have to light up your number plate to pass MOTs?????
if so how cud i do this. Im thinkin of positioning me plate like on pics below. How much wud it cost to do the same as the bottom pics as they standard bumpers. wud it b alot of work for a bodyshop?
any other ways of doing this??

I've used the standard recess in mine and mounted it in the bumper minus the fog lights

Sitting here thinking how to do it, this might work? using a bit of MDF the thickness of the recess, also a little larger than the numberplate cover it in glass fibre it would make a fibreglass mold, it would also need a one inch over hang, which would need to be flexable to follow the shape of the bumper.... once released it would form a nice little fibreglass box, bond it to the bumper from behind, cut and trim the hole in the bumper for the numberplate ... fill and paint, might try it myself
(Just a thought) It might also be better to build the mold on the rear of the bumper, which would give you the correct shape, i guess some sort of wax would help to release the MDF.
