No they are'nt the safest way to travel, me and STeve had this discussion, ok in a car you might have a accident or technical failure on the car but there is a fair chance you will survive, if there is technical failure on a plane there is absolutely no chance of your surviving.

Fcuking ridiculous.

STFU you two chances of actually being in a serious air incident are so small, you would be dead 10times over from fatal car crashes. you would have to fly in an aircraft every day for 60,000 years before the odds stack up against you

Sorry but crash in a car you live, crash in a plane you die.

The odds are wrong I'm afraid, how often do people get on a plane? Once maybe twice a year, how often do you get in your car and drive? EVERY DAY of your life from the age of 17 to 65, of course the odds will be higher driving a car, its obvious you use it more often therefore more likely to crash.

READ WHAT I SAID OLIVER. you have to fly in an aircraft EVERY DAY FOR 60,000 YEARS before you may be involved in a serious air crash, i would love to see the odds of survival for driving a car every day for 60,000 years
