thought i would make a start to trimming it tonight

here it is with the small box for my tools and tyre weld

then i checked the carpet was big enough

then smeared it in contact adhesive

then placed the carpet on and smoothed out all wrinkles then a few staples along the way

finished result just hope it works how i wanted with the anthracite rather than black carpet

i have still got front section to do but waiting delivery of harnesses so i can cut out a few checks befors i trim it then fit it all

no pics of it in car yet as it is pissing with rain and i cant get the car in the workshop until i move a shed load of stuff

thought i would just get on and finish it tonight
here is the front section ready to be trimmed

slots are guessed so just hope the harnesses fit ok

then trimmed it, glued top stapled edges to back

and here it is all in the car

dont think the pictures do it justice as my photography skills are limited to day the least

i have still to cut the while out for the lid to fit in.
and it fits in the car no problems well its a tight fit but it does go in as long as the boot plastics etc are removed first

Looks good that!
When I make my new boot install I'm going to have a box hidden somewhere for my tools and jack cos the scissor jack thats in the wheel well is hopeless. Its a good idea

was going to measure it las night but to be honest there isnt much point because of all the contours along the edges.
i would recomend measuring the depth (front to back) you require then measure the width required. cut it a little big to start with. then get a cardboard template to get the right shape. will take some fine adjustments.

Sounds a bit laborious but is the only way you are going to get it fitting half decently
