Friend's mum has a Corsa 1.4 8v 5 Door. (M Reg)

It has recently been playing up and kangerooing violently when driving it up the road. The EML hasn't come on. So diog plug ins haven't helped!

Any guesses as to what could be the problem? I thought the Air Flow Meter might have been to blame, but would this not trigger the EML?

Any help appreciated!

could be a problem with it getting fuel... which wouldnt trigger the EML...

I'm convinced it's air. Air induction, (it has a K&N), Vaccum? AFM?

Even the Air and Fuel is controlled by the ECU on these engines?

Yep.

It packed in all together today. I'm going to do a paper clip test on it tomorrow. I bet it points to the AFM. Won't start or go easily now.

It broke yesterday. EML came on temporarily.

Came up with 34 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor Low voltage.

How do I go about sorting this?

i'm 99% sure that i got that error message on my old corsa that was Kangerooing....

even since i changed the lamba sensor... the car ran prefect (1.4 8v sri) and the engine man lite neva came up

Sorted it!

Was a green plug that had come loose about an inch along from the header tank.

Found the soloution on a post by Paul J in 2003 Cheers!

Amazing how one little plug can prevent the whole engine from working properly!
