Some little bitch just asked me if i was putting gsi bodykit on my car I said yes maybe and she laughed and said its not a gsi etc...
So, would I look like a dick If I got the gsi bumpers etc but not have the engine to match although I'd be having a new engine put in, in the recent future...

Thats a bit like saying would you think someones a dickhead for heavily modifying a 1.0.
Its all down to personal preference.

no i wouldn't because you see so many cars with 1.0 or 1.1L engine that are heavily modified.
you take the route you want to i.e. body kit then engine transplant. i have waited till now to buy a decent engined car. we all started of somewhere in the low figures of engine capacity and dunebug looking cars

This is the sole reason why keeping my car much longer than i would usually and save for a Z20LET conversion . Naturally though, i'd have to put the 1.4 badges back on it for added enjoyment.

1.4 badges go for the 1.0 12v or 1.3 cdti
