I'm not a fan of that lanky streak of piss. Then let's Baros (Euro04 top scorer) go, who IMO is better than Crouch. Shouldve bought Owen too. Newcastle IMO are already reaping the rewards.
That said i'm a Luton fan so i'm making judgements on what I see on TV.
Im a huge Lpool fan, season ticket for 15years now and go to alot of the away games aswell. And when we first signed Crouch I felt like you, wasnt a fan and thought it was a waste of 7m. But he has played really well so far this seaosn, and if rafa would play someone upfront with him then we would do much better!
As for Baros I wished we kept him, but we dont have the millions of chelsea to buy the players we need so I see why he had to go!
And I dont agree with you on Owen. Yes he may score 15 goals a season, but he misses a hell of alot more that he should score and is well too injury prone. If he got his finishing back to how it was 3/4 yrs ago then yes, but until then he isnt worth the 16m, especially when thats double what we sold him for!!

just got back from the match, the scoreline defo flatterd chealse, they was just as shit as us. but i wouldnt say they played us off the park, chealse have one game play andf that is boot it up feild. but it worked today.
and as for chelsea's chats of "thats why were champions"
erm no, the russians billions is why your champions
thats a pointless argument. into todays football how many teams actually win anything in the top leagues and do well in europe by not spending millions.
no its not a pointless argument, they got shit loads of millions injected to there club out of the blue. so there not champions coz they worked for it, they are champions coz over night they went form fuck all to having loads of millions to spend, so i dont see how its a pointless argument.
i agree that all the top teams have spent millions on players and evan staff and facilitys but what my point is, is that they are only champions coz of all the russians money,. if they carried on how they was with just regualr money like every other decent team in the prem, they wouldnt be champions.

You sold him for 8mil for a reason.
Thats what I mean about the TV thing, it doesnt always show Crouch's workrate. Still dont think he's good enough to play for Liverpool though imo.

its a pitty he doesnt get on with him, as I watched his last seaosn in France and he was amazing. Im hoping Cisse realises he needs to work harder in training and we can hopefully see him get a chance upfront.
And Nath, yeah we sold him for 8m as he continually said he wasnt leaving and would sign a new contract. Then decided to run his contract down to a year left so we had to let him go for next to nothing!!

Cisse does look handy, him and Morientes on paper should work. But i've not seen the pair live so dunno how well they would work.

id be suprised if he doesnt revert back to 4-4-2 after today.
I dont think we played so bad today, and controlled the match for alot of the first half and the beginning of the second. But we just dont have the people to finish the moves off due to only playing the 1 up!!

I hate 4-5-1 with a passion. Makes me cringe when England try it. Luckily my boys play 4-4-2 all the time and we have very attacking full backs. Never a dull moment, which is reflected in us having only 1 goal-less draw in something like 30 games.
