Cos they are set fee's, I don't charge £60 + VAT, I just charge a set fee... it's services not goods also.

Services also require VAT charging on them if you're VAT registered

But you don't need to be VAT registered unless your turnover is £30k per year (last figure I read)...

Nah, don't think I'm gonna earn that much...

well if I say, I want £80 lets say for a night, that will have tax in with it, do I still need to show them the % of the £80 that's going on Tax?...

Or can I just change Total to Total Inc. VAT??

You do not need to charge VAT, in fact you should not if you are not registered your not allowed to.

So if its £80 for the job just put £80

also there are a couple of things missing, as a sole trader you have to put the propitor of the business on the invoice. (small text at the bottom is the most common)

It is also advisable to put payment terms somewhere on the invoice as people will be less like to mess you around if they know they have to pay in that time.

And finally to give the impression you are more experanced/more business start the invoices on something like 1001 as it does not look like your first invoice then.

Cheers Jodi... as for the invoice numbers... each new contract wil have it's only code... for example a contract I have secured with LBC Solutons will be coded LBC001 and so on, and for example an invoice to my self will be coded DJAI001... so each contract holder will have no idea how many invoices I've actually sent out ect.
