So from reading that website, Points are only Valid for 3 years?? but they have to stop on license for 4 years?

points for speeding remain on licence for 4 years from date of offence....
but most insurance companies ask if u have any convictions in the last 5 years!!

so i guess as long as you get them removed from your licence after 4 years then u dont have to declare them to your insurance, and you save bit of money on the insurance.. so its worth paying that £19 to get them removed
