if i buy 16s , 195/45/16 tyres,

i have 1.4 sri , with spare wheel, 12"sub in box, with big 6 channel amp in boot.

will 40ml be fine all round or will it still be too high

should be ok, what ofset are they? tells you in back of the wheel where the wheel meets the drum

thing is people, i know 60ml will look better, but my old escort rs 2000 replica was lowered 40ml on 15s /195-50-15 and it was too low for my area, i have alot of speed bumps and country lanes so im not sure if lowering 60ml on 16s will be a pronlem again

If the offset is et 45 or higher you will be fine down 60 mm mate ..

go 40 mate serious cuz u may have to fill your car up one day with people then go over them speed bumps!
plus if u go to low u may have the problem i had your exhaust knocking on the back axle!

will be fine. stick to 40mm, best for handling. 60mm lower has an adverse effect on handling, unless you do it properly on coilovers with camber adjustment etc...
