My bro has been offered a set by his neigbbour at cost price, i said how much is cost and my bro said about 40 quid a wheel??? Can't be right can it?

roughly thats about right, without tyres. Theres no such thing as a set cost price as different companys get different discounts.

i cant see most alloy wheel shops making more than 50% on a set of wheels. your average wheel is about £100 a rim. so 40 is cheap
