My dads just moved house and cos the cables were under the carpet we cut he leads to the speakers which had phono ends, but duno which the plus and minus ends need to go, any help??

take guess.
It wont do any harm, the audio leads are only carring signals not voltage/current, so you wont blow anything up.

If your first guess is wrong, you wont hear anything, so swap them around
