dont think you can get points enless its persistant offences maybe!

but the police can right to the DVLA and get your plate taken off you if its a private plate that is!

and yeh £30 fine usually but think it can go up if its persistant and same copper etc, think trotty got an £80 one once!

Well a dark grey TT has black plates and blatently drives around the MK Cruise in front of the police with them on. Has done for the past 2/3 weeks. Must be doing well not to get pulled.

He's probably not been pulled because the police don't know the law so they won't bother doing anything. If you get someone who knows they're illegal on cars registered on or after 1st March 1973, it might be a different matter.

No they don't. Its Guernsey. All the IOM cars i've seen have white and yellow plates, with a three legged thingy on it.

only used my black plates for a day or two after my TV shoot, then took them off and only show use now, they are blatantly illegal to the coppers who know the law so i dont bother, i still have illegal plates they just dont notice that much!

been pulled once for illegal plates but le off!
