Here's the senario..
Two computers that I want to link together wirelessly.
The two computer;s, although only 25 meters apart have about 8 feet of wall between them so the single wont reach so I have set it up as follows.
Each computer has a USB adapter on it and I have plugged a wireless router between the two to act as a repeater.
I want the two computers to be able to see each other and for the other computer to be able to use the others internet conection.
I have tried to set up a shared internet connection but have been told by the wizard that the router has the main IP address so it cant set the computers to the one it needs.
Also although the computers can see each other I cant see the files on the computers.
Please help me

so you want to share the net connection? easiest way would be to use the router surely?
but all you need to do is download a proxy server (analog x website has one, pretty basic, but seems to work alright), install that, run it etc. Then on the slave pc, set the gateway to that of the master pc and then under the browser settings of the slave pc, set the proxy server address to the master server ip and the port to what the proxy uses (usually 8080) then jobs a gooden

Using the router was the plan until we decided that there was too many walls in the way. Easiest was to get a repeater was to use the router

so the wireless works? if both wireless adaptors see the router (just ping the ip address) then i dont see what the problem is using it?
also for file access, you need to set up shared folders/printers etc + if youre using firewalls, need to give each pc access (ie: under zonealaram set the ip address of the other pc as trusted etc).
But accessing files is just a case of - in the My Computer address bar type, \\(IP Address Of Pc To Access\(Shared Folder)
