mum was outside getting the washing off the line, as she walked away, a MASSIVE branch snapped off from tree and smashed the washing line in half. she was a wee bit upset, but thankful it decided to wait until she moved. was about 30 ft long and rather heavy. fell from about 50-60ft so it was shifting by the time it hit the ground

yeah shes fine, just really shook up. what was weird was that all 3 of our dogs bolted from the garden about 30 seconds previous to the branch coming down, and cowered in a bedroom

yes the Blackbutt Eucalypts have a habit of shedding their branches. bit of a bugger though once they reach 100ft tall
