A few weeks ago I left the car parked up on a grass verge (not obstructing anything or anyone) and came home to find I had a penalty notice

If I paid it before last Friday it was £30, thing is what with holiday and stuff I just forgot. Now it's £60. Only thing now is i've lost the bit of paper

I'm thinking when they contact me to say where's our money I can just say that someone must have pinched it off my windscreen thinking it would be funny. I'd then offer to pay the £30 and that would be that.

What do you think?

And yes I'm a forgetful dumbass always been that way

I doubt they will ring you to ask where the money is, so if you dont pay it then it will keep going up

surely they send you notification of non-payment through the post after the 30 days?

_c_o_r_s_a_ - true, it must happen all the time though. It even says on the ticket that removing the ticket from a vehicle that is not your own constitutes as a criminal offence
