This country is so crap I am serriously thinking of emigrating as soon as i gain my qualifications and some more experience. The one and ONLY thing thats holding me back from leaving the UK is family and friends.....
Here are some of the reasons why I want to emigrate
Record fuel tax / price
32% basic rate tax and NI
17.5% vat
questionable weather
Massive debt burdens (due to the above)
Large UNI fees (debts)
obviously silly house prices
bad crime
bad area (underfunded)
lack of jobs
open doors for illegal immigration (I've often thought I'd have an easier time if I claimed asylum myself, might reduce the council tax bill or something)
lousy state pensions
piles of people claiming benefits and free housing (Stop paying these and there
would be no more pensions crisis)
highest teenage pregnancy rates in EU (along with the free flat etc.)

To be fair its a lot deeper than just tax rates etc,
its how you feel!
if you can survive and are happy then stay, if youre clearly unhappy and want to try something new that could all go tits up then go for it!
60% of people that immigrate to spain, us and oz all come back within 3 years!
Its not as easy in other parts of the world as you may think
Im hoping to emigrate to oz, mainly becuase its the lifestyle that i desire and i can go further with my degree than i could back here in the uk.
However taxes are still high, fuels cheap, pension is poor, nhs isnt as good but most people that can afford to go private do so, and you will need to start your own pension.
Think about it in a lot more detail before you make the choice

PUT it this way i wont be an illegal imigrant living off the state and having £50k operations done for free on the NHS.
If i wanted to emigrate to austrailia it would most prob take 12 - 18 months and my trade is an electrician my misses is a hairdresser and i have £20,000 behind me.
If musaffa bing dong bandlidada from abertdakastan wanted to emigrate to the uk he would get in here in a matter of 2-3 months and contribute nothing to the uk and cost us £££, on the other hand he could jump on the back of a lorry and cut out the 3 months wait

But brad, its the way the country is run, the way my area is run. And for us FTB'ers who are looking for houses in an overinflated market, if you buy now in this overinflated market at the moment you willl serriously have a shit life for the next 30 years. You wont have the funds move because the home you bought x years ago is made you minus equity.

I moved to England in 1990, I guess that makes me an immigrant!
Only difference is I'm gonna move back home (Australia) in 5 years for good!

Yeh i totally agree with you,
i love england on the whole and where i live - east anglia is lovely countryside and things, but eu and government laws have buggered the farm up.
With any trade oz is made for you at the moment, but it does have a very ageing population and you will always be labelled a £10 pomme.
But over there you can make a mark on the world,
I have a mate who emigrated 5 years ago to oz, hes a machinist and lost his job here.
he saved 10k moved to melbourne, got a job with the same qualification and earnt $50k a year, bought a small house moved up the ladder.
hes now 25, has a 5 bedroomed house, pool, wife and kids, a hsv monaro, and earns about $150k as a cheif engineer at the same work place.
His quality of life has improoved no end, and if he would have stayed here he would still live in same town, and with his folks for sure

Here are some of the reasons why I want to emigrate
Record fuel tax / priceNext to nothing
32% basic rate tax and NITax free
17.5% vatNo such thing
questionable weatherSun
Massive debt burdens (due to the above)
Large UNI fees (debts)Same
obviously silly house pricesCheaper than home
bad crimeNo Crime
bad area (underfunded)
lack of jobsNone of that
open doors for illegal immigration (I've often thought I'd have an easier time if I claimed asylum myself, might reduce the council tax bill or something)Completely the opposite. You often see trucks of illegal immigrants chained inside being taken to the airport back home.
lousy state pensions
piles of people claiming benefits and free housing (Stop paying these and there
would be no more pensions crisis)None of that
highest teenage pregnancy rates in EU (along with the free flat etc.)Jailed if pregnant outside of marriage. Government turn a blind eye sometimes...
All of the above you stated are reasons why I hate the UK and I could go on further. You could emigrate anytime you wanted after you finish uni or whatever, but all talk and no action and it wont happen. Hell, if you dont like it wherever you go you could even go back home...If you fancy doing it, go for it.
Best thing I ever done was move out here. Got to go back to do one more year and I have no intention whatsoever of going back for good.
