Can't remember if I asked you lot this before, but would anyone attempt to sell a car on eBay?
Better than advertising it on Auto Trader?
I can't be arsed to fix my Astra any more!
Might just sell it now and use the bus till November then I can buy my Scooby!

Put in autotrader aswell, just make sure you put on your ebay advert that you withhold the right to withdraw from sale as its advertised elsewhere. My brother sold a 106 quicksilver on ebay last week, no problem at all, people tended to ring and come and see the car before bidding. Theres a lot of dodgy deals though i bet

What about if the car you wanna sell has umm... one or two issues with it...
See when I bought the car the previous owners never told me what was wrong with it/about to break, which ended up with me spending pretty much more than I paid for the car in terms of parts/repair work etc. and I would rather tell prospective buyers about the problems it still has rather than keep quiet about it - don't want the new buyers having a go at me etc. etc.
Just dunno what to do...

Well in my case the engine performs like a 1.0 and it seems to be drinking a bit more oil than usual. I suspect either worn valve stem oil seals or piston rings.
I've seen them go on AT for about £1200-£1500, reckon I could get at least half that? Especially if I stuck it up on eBay?
I know I could get a compression test done etc. etc. but I just got to the point now where I CBA doing anything with it any more.
I've even bought a full Astra Sport interior to go in there too (still have to pick it up ) I'm just loathed to spend any more money on it.
It's only an Astra at the end of the day, it ain't nothing special.

I tried to sell my Corsa on there once. Got a lot of time wasters though emailing me asking me stupid questions and making me stupid offers like 3.5K! TBH though, I got more response on Ebay than Autotrader. I got nothing but sales calls when I stuck it on Autotrader

Id say ebay is custom built for cars that "have one or two issues" be honest and some gimp will buy it anyway

I think it'll be cheaper/easier to advertise the car on eBay than on AT?
My car is pretty much standard bar stainless steel exhaust, smoked side repeaters, de-badged and no door side strip thingies.
Aside from the engine woes it's in pretty good nick I thought. Just needs someone with a bigger bank balance than me to finish fixing it!

I couldn't sell a car without telling the prospective buyer(s) about its faults. Bad karma and all that...

It's true though, with my luck some heavies would come round and beat me to a bloody pulp or something!
I would never make a good car salesman, I don't have it in me to rip people off!
