Most manufacturers will do tyres specific for wet or dry weather, but also cater for general use.
Bridgestone, Goodyear and Falken are all good brands and should do what your'e looking for.
Check out www.demon-tweeks.co.uk for a catalog of decent tyres

Toyo proxes, I've had them for my last 3 or 4 sets. Best tyre for the price in my experience, wet and dry.
I get about 10,000 miles from them.

agree. my rears are 20k miles old and still have loads of tread left, although fronts last about 12k. good tyre in the wet and dry. good price too.
