Good News
I have a driving experience thing booked tomorrow, im off driving a formula 3 racing car for most the day.
Bad News
I dont have it booked off as holiday, theres only 6 people in our drawing office, 2 people have tomorrow booked of as holiday (which is rare as the policy is try not to let 2 ppl have time off at the same time.
And ive came in this morning complaining of the shits, and feeling ill and my boss has said.. you better come in tomorrow, not many people are in.
And now i feel guilty about having the day off.
Plus i gotta figure out how to call in sick as i dont want to speak to my boss

this is true.
The driving thing is very strict.
You CANNOT cancel unless you are sick, in which case you must produce a doctors note, or unless there is a death within your close family, in which case you must produce a copy of the death certificate.
How harsh is that?
I dont ever pull sickys as a rule, unless i really am too ill to go in.

ive done it before, if your boss believes you he will be undestanding, then you can slam the phone down in celebration and say 'fuck work, im driving an f3 car, hell yeah'

Just ring in sick and offer to catch up on any work the next day or even do some work from home and just do it after your driving experience

Death certificate? Check your human rights I'm sure you don't have to do that.

You've basically got two options:
1) Call in sick, feeling guilty or not, and go to the driving experience and face your boss on monday
2) Go to work and miss out on the driving experience and feel like you havent let your boss or your team down.

The sicky voice being the one where people cough and speak with a croaky voice when they have a "migrane"
