If this game will work on this laptop as I'm not too sure whether or not the video card is 'better' than NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
ATI Radeon 8500 or greater

dunno about them other cards you've mentioned (not totally up to date with this stuff) but i do know that laptop will play that game. the picture will be horrible to play with though, due to low frame rate on the laptop screen.

If your thinking of playing a high end game like BF2 i serriously recommend not buying a laptop, yes they are cool and portable.
But think do you really need a laptop, will you need to take it places and move portably.
My mate bought a laptop cause hes in a band and uses it when he goes to practice, its an expenive sony one £1300 with a good gfx card but still only manages 20-30fps on counterstrike - source which i would find unplayable.
If you spend £1300 on a pc you would be pushing 100-150fps

Yeah I'm not buying it for gaming as I'm hopegully getting a better home pc soon. It's for uni as I can't be carrying a desktop round with me but just wondered if it would be ok for the odd bit of gaming whilst I'm away that's all, I know I'm not going to get the best frame rates etc just want to know which games I'll be able to run ok

it's a 1.8ghz or 2.0ghz cpu not 100% as ive read different ones for the same processor either way it's higher than 1.7ghz
It has 512ram as standard which I read was enough but it's easy enough to upgrade that from crucial anyway
