the limit is £1200 over the counter and £300 from ATM.
I wanted to take £1500 out for my new car and had to take £300 form ATM then the rest over the counter

I got £1900 out for the Corsa as cash with a passport then walked very cautiously over the road with my hand on my leg to the other branch I was paying it in to. They didn't need notice and I waited for a bit they even gave me 50s.

Barclays will let you take £1500 in cash with no need to notify them, just take another form of ID with you and you should be ok.

I will have my driving license with me. I can take £500 a day from a machine. I will kick up a fuss if they say anything
I know the area business manager for them. Any problems he sorts out for me
