Once you have the delocked handles on and you want to put the metal backing bit back on, how in gods name do u get the bit with the actual lock out of the metal thing? I've removed the linkage and the spring but how do u actually remove the bit where the key goes in?

i used a hammer.
or u cud get the metal back plate out of a rear 5 door corsa or cavalier, astra whatever that dont have a lock on it

you have to use the backing plates from the de-locked handles i do believe!
well i did anyway!

cheers for the advice guys, but i found the solution. it was a tiny tiny pin holding it all in.. so i just drilled it through lol. then the lock just twisted and fell out.. landed!
