ok my oild cooler on my v reg astra van got smashed off by a piece of wood , what i want to know is do i need it? as i can get a pipe made up to miss it out. Surly i wouldnt need it in this country?

not really needed mate
some XE have them others do not

your best best is to go to vauxhall and ask got eh screw part to get rid of your sandwich plate, i know for a XE its about £1.30, and they will get rid of the oil cooler system

its the plate which sits between the Block and the oil filter, where your 2 oil cooler pipes come out off

what engine is it? and i will try and get you a part code
