Morning guys,
Was wondering if anyone had any info about buying one of these? Looking at spending around £6k, what should I look for (its for the missus by the way!)
Also does anyone have the addy for the clio owners club forum? cant find it anywhere!
Cheers

I got a mk1 172 for 6k with 31k on the clock and frsh.
You probably can get a mk2.
The forum is http://www.cliosport.net/
Look out for the 4k rattle basically it comes from the exhaust and means you need a new one.
If its near 36k on the clock thats the main service which could cost about £450 + from renault as if its 4-5 years old you will need a cambelt change which is also around £400

Doubt you'll get a decent Mk2 for that price.

A mk1 with low miles for £6k

A mk2 with higher miles:

If you can afford a little extra for a mk2 with lower miles

The last one sounds pretty good

Yeah it has the exact engine just different bumpers and alloys. Also the mk2 has a few extra things like cruise control and climate control.
I prefer the mk1 but i'm biased
