....have upgraded my account free of charge to 1mbs however on my dial up connection screen its saying connection speed of 2.2mbps im confused

then it would appear that you have been upgraded to 2Mb , the .2 is to cover overheads.

I think all 1mbps pipex connections say that... But they're limited at the pipex end to 1mbps, to save their trouble

mine says 2,2 mbps but i have only normal broadband, form what i no anyway

All Pipex connections are 2.2Mbps at the exchange now. Pipex limit the speed their end...

My dad's new 250k connection still connects at 2.2Mbps but speedtests confirm 250kbps...

strange did the adsl speed test and its sayin its 942 kbps

Yeah Pipex don't do 512k now so yes, you have been upgraded to 1Mbps their end.

While they were getting BT to change the line though, they just put it to 2.2Mbps incase you wanted to upgrade later. Then they can do instant upgrades instead of waiting for BT to pull their proverbial finger out...

yeah i double checked the website, automatically yp to 1mbps at no extra charge, 2mbs is extra £10

Wanadoo sent me a letter saying i'm downloading 6 GB a month, then another one saying i'm doing 500 GB a month. PMSL and ignored bother letters

pipex dont have usage limts (well my plan hasnt)
