Need a good quote on an Escort 1.8 Si.

I am only 18 and no no claims, dont want to go with parents as I would rather build up my no claims.

I know an escort Si aint a sports car, but apparently the insurance compaines think it is ?

Would the high performance compaines be a better bet?

p.s. I am currently working my way through the list in FAO

Two companies have said it is a high performance sports model and wont insure me until I am over 21.

1600 TPFT is not too bad for a 1.8, less than a year on your licence and no no claim though. (for an 18 year old)
