If you have anything sensitive to say, dont say it over the phones, they are so open to tapping its unreal.
if you do not wished to be tracked, dont have your mobile on period, using tranglation(sp) between mobile phone access points they are able to track you pretty close by.
If your land line has been tapped, its easy to hear the weird sounds (talking from experience).
Also beware that your surfing might be tracked too.

sank him in the end...he's doing 10-15 IIRC

Mobile phones are what f*ck criminals these days, in court ive seen virtually the whole Crown Prosecution case (murder) based on mobile phone tracking.

all text messages that are sent and i believe voice calls are monitored by a central base, they monitor for certain words and phrases etc, if a certain phrase or word is picked out it is bought to there attention, do you remember in the paper that guy who sent a text with some song lyrics that was on a bout terroism, they stormed his house and he was arrested, obviously freed though when they found out it was legit

And all msn conversations go through microsoft before the reach your destination. You'd have to be a fanny to arrange somethin dodgy on there.

Incorrect.
On the latest version, with a correctly configured uPnP router, Microsoft changed it to connect directly to the other person as long as their router/internet is set up correctly and they also have MSN Messenger version 7.xx.xxxx
This reduces the load on their servers, and provides better connection for users.
