People died in our country and we want to give our respect, is that too much to ask?

yes people are dying every day, in different countries but that isnt the point, this was an awful thing that happened on OUR SOIL and they died in one of the most horrible ways imaginable.

If people didnt care that the thousands that die everday why do they give money to charity and join aid groups to help.

This was a malicious attack on innocent people and for people that want to give two minutes of their time to take a moment of silence to remember them then thats their choice.
To the families of the dead it shows a mark of respect.

For the people that couldn't care less about "showing a mark of respect" for such incidents:

If you post on here saying someone close to you has died or been in an accident and died, I'll be sure to reply to your threads that "I don't care" and "thousands of people die every day, so what" etc.!
