It wouldn't be profitable, too few people buying it and too smaller voice where advertising is concerned. I would like magazine-type content on here but then again, unless you're paying someone the content wouldn't be fresh and regular.

why dont you do an online magazine?
let the owners do their own write up, say two cars a month, explaining what they have done to the cars and just have 1/2 editors for it
kind of an extended version of the front page cars...

I'm going to be negative here and suggest that the quality wouldn't be there, or it would only last 6 months.
Don't get me wrong - I'm well up for it - just don't want half a job.

basically extending on the feature cars part, it would be great to see more magazine type features intergrated into the site, id be happy to contribute in anyway, as would others im sure

Many people said they were going to help with FAQ, some did, some didn't. I'm not having a pop, its hard work and lots of it. Not everyone has the time.

if the money coming in was enough maybe Bi-monthly mag to all preems would be a good idea...like vauxhall sports club..
But i guess it's alot of work to undertake and I do not know how much premium membership brings in...

i think expanding the site in the form on an online zine would be an idea but theres also the issue of keeping it up to date and who would do that

Think a good idea is to make it more of a club than a website....there is thousands on here and must be hundreds of premium members.
that you get introduction pack and stickers etc when you join up AND PAY YOUR MONEY

The cost is prohibitive.
Well, its not, but it means we wouldn't have much for anything else.
Its basically a paid position. Anything else wouldn't be regular. I do a bit of programming and Tim does the same and server admin but its all as and when.
Monthly stuff to deadlines couldn't exist without adequate compensation of time and I don't mean I want paying - I mean I would need to book a day off work just to do it, as would possibly anyone who goes for it. Its completely unrealistic and unreasonable to expect someone with that degree of commitment to work for nothing.
I'm not ruling it out, as I'm not ruling out premises and a receptionist, I just don't feel 2005 is the year for it.
