I've just got the following email:

--

Dear Corsasport Member,

Your e-mail account was used to send a huge amount of unsolicited spam messages during the recent week. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and confirm the attached document so you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to cancel your membership.

Virtually yours,
The Corsasport Support Team

--

This email is FAKE, as is any email which doesnt not either come from Ian Griffiths or Tim Wright, WE USE OUR OWN NAMES.

Where these messages contain attachments, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. Although it is highly likely that our virus scanner will have removed any virus which is present, this is one of the reasons why the mail may be been sent.

These messages are nothing more than a cheap trick to fool users of this site, DO NOT FALL FOR IT. It maddens me greatly and I do intend to stop them arriving or at least make sure no one is unaware of what is going on.

Ross, do you secretly work for CORSASPORT?

I am aware that Ian is a part of G8 though.

These should calm down a bit now...

I've installed some extra special anti-spam checking on the new server to combat this type of attack.
