Well i thought i'd see why im losing oil every now and then and also give the front end a bit of a work over.
The best engine around

Cleaned the wheels, after someone asked why i had two antracite and two normal

Then the undercar, is this residue normal?

Thanks for the help

Sump and the sump gasket look like they gone porous, thats where you are losing your oil

you need a new sump plug and washer, u can get these from halfords, not very expensive, although you may as well do an oil filter change as you will lose all of your oil in the process. is the plug done up tight?

i work at vaux n we get alot of engines with this. the mechanics explain it as 'engine sweat' but this normally only happens on an engine wit above 60k millage runnin on the oridgenal gaskets due to them goin porus. it looks like the sump gasket is it the main cause of the problem. give the car a gd serivce, and as ryzer said, replace ya sump plug and washer (rubber 'o' ring in this case)
