Weld in roll cage, saftey devices £250
Coilovers or uprated shocks and springs £300 ish
Bigger brakes Scrap Yard?
Second hand bucket seat and harness

As you say the 1600 box would be a good idea, short shift kit maybe an option?

And tyres, as loo said the systems are very well made as standard anyway, as ive heard the saxo exhausts are aswell must be a french thing!

Never driven one, so can't comment on what's desperate or most benificial to be changed. What I would say is Tyres are some of the best investments you can Make IMO. Buy shit ones and its hard to get confidence in the car round corners and under breaking.

The standard handling is supposed to be quite good or so ive heared, so coliovers may not be neccessary. Maybe just get some rock hard front springs and decent, or just new standard shocks.

Suppose it depend on whether you intend on spending £1k now, and leaving it at that, or its £1k now... then when you get bored in a few months another grand, then again a few months after etc, which judging by the past cars youve owned is most likely . If thats the case, go for the best of what's most important to be upgraded now, and then leave the rest for when you get some spare funds in the future .

Corsa has it engine built again after cracked cam and bent valve mapping incident

Delay in mapping as it has a flat tyre, and my new racelines ( 16" ) dont fit over my brakes

Another set of wheels are being sourced for the mapping.

Dont want buy 1 new tyre as both fronts are bald and i want to use those rims for slicks, ken

Its running jenvey/QED direct to head TB's with DTA fast
