I've got to transfer alot of files from 1 laptop (which i think is running 95, but may be 98) and a new laptop running WinXP
Can it be done? or does the fact that they are on different Operating systems mean that they arent compatible?
Is it possible to do with a crossover cable?
(I cant be sure which version as I've left both at work, I'm pretty sure its 95 though)

Crossover cable and the wizard with XP. XP creates a boot disk that will allow you to install on 9*/Me/2000 etc.

STFU you clueless goon, just give the two laptops an IP address, anything private i.e. 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 then attach with crossover, then from XP laptop goto start run type \\ip address of other laptop\c$ then you can browse it. If it doesnt connect first time share the C drive out
