ive heard that some places do 6 months insurance and then give u a years no claims. do any of u know of companies that do this? and a web address if poss would b nice

admiral and elephant do 10 month ones, I think you will struggle to find somewhere that does 6 month ones though

ive been told that connexions do it.. duy who told me didnt tell me the address tho. and im not sure if its another company or the 1 that sort teenagers out with a job?

elephant do a 10 month but unless its ur first year of driving i would say just get ur best quote of 12 months!

Be careful with 10 month policies. I had difficulty this yr finding places that would accept a 10 month policy as a yrs no claims.

Indeed ^, Its all well and good if you stay with the likes of Elephant and Admiral and they accept 10 month policies but no-one else will. I'd go with a 12 month policy if I were you.
As for a 6 month policy its highly unlikely!

I'd have thought that would get sent proof of your no claims bonus this would be valid. Apparently after the ten months you get 1 years no claims, so surely you would get a certficate of this.

I had a 6 month accelerator on mine- with Providence through the brokers "swintons"
in essence I got 18 months insurance for less than the cost of 12 - and got 2 years NCD with them - Only issue was that you had to stay with them for the following 12 months after the inital 6 in order to qualify for the years NCD - was still the cheapest option
