(I'll try to be as short as i can). Today i took a wrong turn and ended up in the birmingham central car park. Now these car parks operate differently to a normal "pay and display". You take the ticket before you enter, go shoppin, come back, go to the terminal, pay the ammount required, and then re-insert your ticket into the machine on the way out.
Now because i took a wrong turn, i realised i'd have to pay for the hour (£1.80 ) because thats the only way you can get out, with a ticket. So gritting my teeth, i paid the stupid ammount of money, and headed out. There were two seperate ticket stations to get out, and one of them was already occupied by a jag. But then i on noticed the second one, the pole was already raised (permanantly), so instead of puttin my ticket in, i just drove out without stopping.
On the way out my mate informed me there was a camera above the station, and now this has got me worried. Will they think i didnt pay, and send me a fine? I still have the ticket in my car (which the machine should technically have)
Such a bell , but help

if no one was watching the camera at the time I'm pretty sure nothing will happen ... if they tryto fine you claim ignorance and say it was the first time you had been in a car park like it and thought the barrier was stopping the jag next to you because they had done something wrong

I anything happens just say their machine must be faulty and you have the ticke to prove you have paid.
I would have thought it highly unlikely anything will come of it anyway.

No you pay at a pay statiom and then get the ticket back, then put it into another machine as you exit the car park. So if he has payed the ticket will have been validted.
