if your motherboards a goodun it will tell you the size and speed in the bios.

theres no easy way to find out what your m/board supports other than reading the manual or looking it up on the internet, youll need to know what it is for the second way though

if you bought a branded pc or know the motherboard (should have a manual), google Crucial Memory and look up the exact type of memory from their website - its tip top.

yes you can, but will only use the lowest mhz stick available.

You need to make sure the memory you buy is backwards compatable.
