i just got my car back and failed quite harshly, i knew it would happen so im not majorly bummed, it just means ill be a busy boy til the 9th
Most of the points are little things like bulbs anyway so i can fix them. The one i wasnt expecting tho was my rear wheel bearing has excessive play. Whats involved in fixing this, can i do this myself with a haynes and some knowledge. i dont like other people playing with my car.
Also i 3 fail points cos of my exhaust, i knew i would get these tho cos i never did anything to it after my xe conversion. Im gonna go with a full custom exhaust to fix all this and to sound better and look better, can anyone recommend somehwere. i remeber people talking of somehwere good that actually specialised in valvers, wots the name of this place? i dont want to go to powerflow or antyhing like that.
Whilst we're on the point what can people suggest tailpipe wise? I dont have any pics of the car cos its no where near finished so would be pointless, but its all gonna be ultra blue with black detailing and smooth post 97 bumer on the rear. Because of this im not too sure if i want a shiney tailpipe seeing as nothign else on the car is shiney, rather dark, it makes me think itll stand out too much and i dont want to. I was thinking a matt black exhaust?! dunno if they exist. Alternatively i may get it to finish under the car so you cant c anything, so no tailpipe. Do people think these ideas would look wank?
Sorry for the essay. fucking hell.

£30 ish for a full vaux bearing kit
its time consuming getting the bearing racers out and you have yo be mega carfull not to scratch/damage the new ones putting them in

the bearings are easy enough to replace, you will need some grease, some split pins and some snippers to cut the old pins off, and an 18mm bolt to get the castle nut off iirc.
