Fixed the broken hub now, went to drive the car and there was no drive at all, clutch all the way up and the revs change a tiny bit but no drive. I reckon it might be the clutch cos when we were trying to move the car on my dads drive, we couldnt push it due to the brake disk sitting between teh calipers like this I / I instead of I I I (hope that makes sense!) so had to use the engine, and it hardly moved still, so i reckon the clutch might have done. However J1400 told me to make sure the drive shaft is in the gearbox properly cos that may well also be the problem, not quite sure what im looking for so i took some pics, does it look like its in place properly? Sorry bout the bad pics, taken off camera phone!

Thats the driver's side shaft, by the looks of it from the other side the rubber bit is touching the gearbox but im not sure if both sides should be the same or not! Sorry for the mini essay, but i really wanna get my car back on the road so i can get it sprayed!

Whack it in there with a rubber mallet... Just did that to mine to see if it would lock in place... It did and now I need to take it out

Yeah it's not in porperly, must have popped out when I was putting the bottom ball joint back in place.
Just do as Ed says.

Ed- to get the shaft out just have it straight relative to the CV in th egearbox and give it a short sharp tug, it will pop straight out, it only diesn't come out if you tug at a angle.
