Engineers in work with me have at LEAST a HND, most have degrees. And you wont have a sniff at an engineers job if you aint got a HND/Degree at most places.

Where do you work then bart? i want a job!

well, if you join a respectable company that like to train people up from a young age then its a good thing.

I work for a company called Bridges Electrical (Website) we supply electrical control panels to all sorts of people for all sorts of jobs.
Mainly Wessex Water for control sewage treatment/water treatment/ fresh water/ reservoir sites, also alot of quarry work.
We've also been asked to price for several large control panels to control some of the manufactuing process at one of the vauxhall plants.

Been with company for 12-13 years now..

worked my way up I do not have a HND or that...I have some electronics modules and in house traing etc...But in my case it comes down to my experience on the machines i work with..

But will be going back to college on 2006..Need to decide on what courses I want to do aswell..

not being funny i think you'll find thats the same with alot of "older" people.
There are some people here with 20+ years of experience with electrics, but dont have nowt to prove it
