I am running powerpoint 03, I need to play a clip in the first slide, I have maged to get the .vob file from the DVD and then converted this to .AVI file.

The .avi file plays in all the media players i have but as soon as it is inserted into powerpoint and slide show is run, the sound plays but no picture?

I thought it would use WMP to run the file is there any special codecs i need for powerpoint player / is there a way i can tell it what media player to use to run the file?

any help would be much appricated.

depends, did u convert it from vob to divx? xvid? or standard avi, might work if u converted it to mpg

I converted it to div X as when i tried to convert to the others the sound was miles out on the short clip.
