got all week to attempt the wiring side of it now, only difficulty i can see is getting wiring through the multiplug

pretty cool that mate although i would have maybe been tempted to try and get them to be flush with the pocket - but obviously would have meant filler/fibreglass, but still looks 
like said though, the door switch is usually on the pillar not the door, so that wont help - so yes the only way is to wire a relay into the circuit for the curt. lighting circuit, could be a pain in the arse that

i did think about trying to get them flush, but having no experience with filler/fibreglass etc i decided against it for fear of making a mess of it. might get another cheap doorcard and give it a go one day, got a spare light thing

would it not just be a matter of conect ng a wire formthe interior light on down to the door light?thru the multiplug?

Nah the point in modifying is not to be different, the whole point in modifying is making your car how YOU want it.
Lights look good BTW m8!!! (was thinking on doing something like this but with an LED)
