i'd look at a civic vtec or a pug gti or a golf gti
All great cars with good performance & looks and you maybe suprised with insurance.

My diesels fine. But then I did have a 1.2 8v before
0-60 10.9 secs car is not bad for a 17 year old is it

New Diesels arnt bad at all,i had that phobia before i drove in a cupra 1.9Tdi which canned a Golf Gti and at 50mpg it saves u a fortune
