FIA

* the introduction of standard ECUs to outlaw traction control, cut costs on electronics and allow the FIA to limit testing

* the introduction of standard gearboxes, with mechanical gear changes and clutches

* a reduction in downforce to 10 percent of current levels with wider cars aimed at increasing mechanical grip

* a single tyre manufacturer to keep speeds in check, increase the sport's safety margin and allow the return of slicks

* the introduction of standard brakes

* the banning of pits-to-car telemetry

* the need for cars to be started by the driver without outside assistance

* the banning of spare cars

* a 30,000km testing limit during the calendar year

* the possibility for teams to purchase chassis off rival teams

this season has been great and them changing to the 3lt engines (i think thats whats happening) next year should be pretty good also....but standardising everything seems a bit lame, even if it does mean that it would all come down to the skills of the drivers, its takes away the point of playing as a team etc etc

I watched all but 1 race this year, and really enjoy it.

Alot of jobs could be lost too.

on one hand i want it to be about driver skill, with proper gearboxes, clutches, no traction control etc. But then again i want to see new and inovative tecnology developed. Its a toughy, i wouldnt like to be in charge of the FIA.

Those rules seem a bit crap. One of the great things about F1 is the inovative technology that gets developed....

Cant see alot of them happening to be honest. Theres too much money tied into sponsorship deals with current manufacturers, plus, as mentioned above, its the ultimate test bed for developing new products.
