I am in the process of trying to sell my car, there is nothing wrong with it i just fancy a change.
Its a 1.6 16v sport and in good condition etc.

I have set the price at £2500 which i think is very fair, its advertised on here as well as ebay.....

http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=220262

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4556356016&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

But nobody seems interested? I was at the Yorkshire motor show on sunday with for sale signs in and nobody showed any interest in it?

What am i doing wrong, whats the best way to sell a modified car?
Any advice would be really helpful, thanks!

it doesnt have much service history, but the car runs perfectly, and the price reflects the lack of service history i think??

I've always been told the only thing that stops something selling is the price, get the price right and someone will snap it up. Good luck

Put it back to standard to sell?

May have more luck that way.

Good luck, you've been trying to sell for ages.

the people that want the car for the looks and that are young people but they simply cant afford the insurance!

standard the car would be snapped up by a 40 year old woman etc

if it was 1.2 or 1.4 a kiddy would snap it up!

at the price i personally think its gotta be standard!

I saw that at pickering! I was quite suprised at the price, seemed quite low to me, although it sounds fair considering lack of service history. Agree with the other posts tho, 1.6's dont sell as well cos of the insurance. I've been looking for another black 1.4 for a while to replace mine that got written off in april & it took ages to find one, they get snapped up within a day of being advertised.

Standard sport with 50k on the the clock are going for around 2k or less from what ive seen. A year ago when i was looking they where going for 2.5-3k with around 40k on the clock. Im hoping to snap one up for less than 2k towards the end of the year.

Sell you bird with it

Only messing As VegasPhil said, get it serviced and state this in the listing. A back street garage will prob do a cheap one for £50 - £75. Personally i think the price is far to high, the car is what 1998. I think your looking more a 2k.

I sold a 1.1 106 last year sometime for £1250 which also had around 40k on the clock. Mine had all the MOTs, 2 owners including me and a full pug service history. Only prob with mine was it was well over due a service as i hadn't had it done in the 15 months of ownership
