hi guys. im off to ibiza with the gf in 2 weeks. never been before so lookin for any tips where to go, where to avoid, what to expect that sort of thing if anyone can help. staying in san antonio itself by the way.
which clubs are best, bars etc as been told to expect to pay 40 euros for clubs and up to 30 euros for drinks in clubs!!!!
any help muchly appreciated cos dont want to end up getting mugged, ripped off etc. also how much you guys split travellers cheques down into??

stay clear of the Westend, especially if your with the girlfriend!
Go to coastline, Kanya, Cafe Del Mar, Mambo (any of those but i'd recommend coastline) to watch the sun set is a must. It is amazing.
Which clubs depends on what music your into and how hard you want to party.
I'm going this year and will be off to Bora Bora beach as i didn't go last time i was there. Its abit away from San Antonio but its away from the rascal parts. Space and DC10 are there.

were both into any music really, more going clubbin for the missus than me. wasnt plannin to go to san antonio but missus wanted to go as our first holiday abroad like

go to space and then go 2 the waterpark 'cos i think space is open till about 9am isn't it? sure i could hear music last time i went

Definatly agree with crazy carlo 
Dont go to the Westend, its full of spew, dodgy kebabs, dodgy girls  and black guys selling drugs, not to mention the fights and the general shiteness!!!!
Stick to places along the cafe de mar like Coastline (met danni Minogue there  ), Mambo etc
As for clubs i would say El Divino is the nicest imo, definatly worth a visit

oh go out on the yellow speedboat thing too, (you cant miss it)  600bhp is what the sailor told me last time 
you get as much alcohol as you can handle then they take you around the Island, some seriously cool rocks  and then you watch the sunset

The westend definatly isn't for couples. More for gangs of lads and lasses who just want to get pissed and everything that goes with it. Like most holiday resorts.
Still better than all the other resorts though as even in the westend you won't come across a shit dj, such as if you go to Faliraki etc.

We had 10 awesome nights on the trot in the West end last year. It's a bit grotty but the last few nights we used to drink at the hotel till about 2am, then head off to the rock club then 70s/80s/90s fo a night of cheese till 6, then to the shop across for some more beers and wander back to the hotel along the beach as the sun was coming up, great memories.
Be on your guard though, plenty of dodgy characters out to fleece you and the blaggers are a pain in the arse, beware of black lasses in clubs, they are more than likely pros and the line of black guys at the door will collar you on the way out.
To be fair if it's just you and the gf Westend prob isn't best place to go, we were ok as there was a big group of us but two lasses stopping in our hotel did get mugged on the way back one night.
That said the place itself is amazing, I went years ago with just the gf and still had a great time, there is just something about the place.

cheers for your help guys. really want this to work out well for both of us. been a rough year with buyin house together etc so 1st chance to relax in 2 yrs!!!
want to have great time but clean if you know what i mean. dont do drugs at all cos will cost me my job ( prison officer). will look out for yellow boat thing!!!
ive got a grand spends sorted out. this enough for both of us ?? will go clubbin couple times so were plannin but want to remember it, not just the hang overs lol

I took 1200 for erm me for 2 weeks pissed almost all of it away but I was in big clubs getting hammered every night 
1000 should be fine mate the food is quite cheap, go to the Bay Bar during the day for some decent food and amazing sangria they play funky chillout stuff and have massive sofas to fall asleep on

went last summer, was great.
Clubs are really expensive for drink, i mean a bottle of water was something stupid like 5 euros, 3 quid, bottles of beer nearly 6 euros, so get hammered on the watered down free shots and before you leave and you will be fine!!!
Space on Sundays was good too and the sunsets at mambo and cafe del mar, also some good entertainment there on the rocks in front of the sea!! Definately worth a visit.

Manumission is unbelievable, and there is another club on the same road which was good but i cant remember the name?
