best to sort it out before it gets worse. Sand it back and spray it

i dont have it yet...but if i got it could i just sand it down and hammerite it and it would be fine?

i dont wanna get it to find that the amount of rust (see pics) is too much to be corrected and its useless!

Depends how much the dude wants for it i suppose. If he's only asking say £50, then get it, strip it back (you'll need to use a wire brush, preffereably on a drill head if you want iot done anytime soon ), and then spray with hammerite. There was a bit of rust on a mild steel back box i bought off my mate for my old car, did this and the rust never showed through again in the 6 months i had the car with the exhaust.

From the pics the piping looks fine, but the silencer box looks buggered IMO. Also It looks like the ipe splits before it goes though the silencer, in which case it'll sound shit anyway .

thats sounds crap why swap a perfectly good exhaust and CD player for a pieace of rust that wont give you any performance and will prolly fall apart in a few months?

Lower your car on them rims and then find a nice twin 3" round. My mate had a piper back box on his SXi it looked nice and subtle
