Where are you living? at home? do you have to pay any rent to your parents?
If your living at home free, £750 aint too bad as apart from general spending that money's going into your pocket. Where as other's are paying rent, tax on the house, water, heating, electricity, etc etc...

been doing work experience for a graphic design company for the last few weeks - unpayed. now hes offered me a permanent job here. its just him on his own in the business, but has own office etc.
he can only offer me £5 hr at the mo, doing 37 hours a week. works out as £750 a month before tax
i was getting payed more at JD Sports
but thing is, its the only thing i want to do, plus its 5min drive from home and i can go home at lunchtime.
just a lil bit dissapointed to be honest.
he said that he wants to pay me double what hes offered me, but the account has told him to hold back at first to see how things go. he expects to take alot more work on though.
the way i look at it is its £750 more than im gettin at the moment, would still preferred more tho
look at it this way your young, unqualified and your wanting mega bucks. I feel you need to sit back and smell the coffee. take the job and see what happens
i never mentioned mega bucks though. i never said i wasnt unqualified, and just because im young doesnt mean i should be on a low pay.
sadly it does kind of mean that. your young, little or no experiance means you can be paid poorly. minimum wage etc. put it this way. I have 4 years work eperiance, 2 degree's (one research) and I only take home £1233 a monthafter tax, NI, pension and lump sum payments

Just make sure you get a pay review scheduled for some date in the future. I know people who started on a poor wage because the company promised to increase as they got more work on and 6 years later they left the company on similar money.
