Thats absolute mint! rember it was from the 80's and prolly one of the few cars that shaped the hot hatch market to where it is at nowdays. That S1 RSt is absolute mint and a real car to own. None of this Jap lark that lacks soul

Which is wierd but they did build them according to my mate at Ford (i emailed them this morning ) ...

Hi Colin,

Yes ford did build three Series One RS Turbo's in different colours, they built 2 Black and 2 Rosso Red, Although there is claims off other ones made by Directors of the Cologne Factory in different colours these have never been found. All cars made in the Cologne factory were RHD for the UK absolutely NONE were made in LHD,

Why do you ask anyway?

Cheers

Greg

He was surprised i asked because i'm vauxhall daft and the Site i got the 1 black 2 red was wrong aswell also just noticed that the Black one Says there was FIVE made in Black

He says they built 3 cars in different colours, and then he says 2 were red and 2 were black. 2 + 2 isn't 3.

There are two Ford reds from that period - Sunburst (orangey) and Radiant (more of a standard glossy red)

whats gartrac look?

Gartrac is the name of the company that developed RWD versions of the MK III and IV Escort for motorsport (mainly rallycross) and wealthy private customers in the 80's and 90's, and you can still see examples of their cars being raced at Lydden Hill near Dover on most bank holiday weekends when the rallycross meetings are on.
These days they tend to concentrate on shell fabrication/modification/restoration for MK I & II Escorts for use in Grp 4 etc.
